We organize trekking trips within Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains emphasizing a community-friendly approach. Our trekking options include Mount
Toubkal ascent, walking the High Atlas valleys, and treks through Berber villages revealing the breathtaking quiet beauty of adjacent valleys. Our activities rely on the knowledge, strong limbs and hospitality of the Berber people, who work as local guides, muleteers and accommodation providers. Our aim is to create an alternative narrative, which will connect internationals and locals in a way that will lead to mutual enrichment. Being a toubkal-atlas is an adventure, which uses one’s capacity to think differently, acknowledge the diversity of human beings, experience a different way of living and contribute towards making the world around us a better place for everyone. Joining this project, you will also become a stone in a new path of local development.
Every one of us can use creativity and potential to establish new patterns of thinking that lead to a better understanding of the world surrounding us. Every one of us can be a Toubkal-atlas.
We offer a wide range of services for those planning a trip to the High Atlas, from basic one day guided walks to full package treks, including transport to the region, accommodation, food, guides, mules, tents, cuisine, entertainment and much more. We are able to suggest itineraries to meet the requirements of our visitors based on the number of days available, number of group members (from sole travelers to large groups), difficultly of treks, level of food and accommodation required, etc. - See more at: http://private-marrakech-day-trips.com

fantastic trek, superb guides, for Atlas mountain treks these are the ones
Hamid Idbelaid & Atlas mountain tours nailed it for us. We were two women and two 10 yr old children. We went on a three day 2 night trek. Next time we would do 3 nights 4 days (as they actually recommended). The guide was brahim, the cook was Hamid and the muleteer Brahmin (sorry guys if I've spelt your names wrong). They made the experience from start to finish; they were professional, informative and totally committed to making our time work. This meant brilliant food, great local knowledge and insights, humour, patience. They were fantastic with the kids, funny and kind. It was tough the first day as unusually for the time of year it hailed, rained and snowed for the first day. We were walking for many hours (our choice) and it could have been pretty grim but they kept our spirits and speed up and we made it to the gite. They organised huge numbers of blankets, cooked great food and were flexible about the plans for the next days. The mountains were beautiful, the villages were fascinatinmg, the people were very friendly, but what made the trek were Brahim, Hamid. I would totally recommend them and this amazing area at: toubkal-atlas.about.ma/
